Shopping Guide for Fruits & Vegetables

Dirty Dozen 2022 Post

Each spring, the Environmental Working Group publishes the “dirty dozen” and “clean fifteen” shopper’s guide to buying fruits and vegetables. The dirtiest fruits have the highest level of pesticides and the cleanest have the least amount. In a perfect scenario, it’s best to eat 100% organic foods, but sometimes that is not possible because of cost, availability, etc. You can use this guide to prioritize when to buy organic and when it’s less important. For example, if I must make a choice of which fruits to buy organic, I will pick organic strawberries over organic watermelon.
